Kanye West- "Love Lockdown"

Ok, so here's the deal. Personally, I don't like this song at the moment. During the chorus, it sounds like Ye is clapping his hands together, mighty off tempo if I may add, and I hate that "auto-tune" crap, if you can't sing, don't try to. But there's just something about KanYe tracks that you have to love, I'm not really fond of it, but I can tell that it's a tad of an acquired taste.

Enough bad, of course, there's some good to this track. Even though I hate the "auto-tune" T-Pain thing, you can't really notice it for the most part. The piano chord's are a nice touch, and the tribal drums sound amazing. The beat is a bit on the simplistic side (or as simple as a Kanye track can be), but that's not a bad thing, most of the songs on Graduation had simpler Kanye beats than I was used to. I like how at the beginning of the song, it's really soft, and slow paced, but then, suddenly when the chorus hits, it picks up, in a manner that build up anticipation, which I think is great. The first time that I heard this song, I was waiting for Ye to spit a nice verse that didn't involve singing, but it's not to bad to have him not rap.

My only concern is that the ENTIRE album, entilted 808's & Heartbreak ,will have Ye singing, and even worse, singing with the vocalizer, as has been the curse with rappers turned singers (no i'm not gonna spell it like the T-Pain album). There is another song that Kanye has been performing live called "Heartbreak", but I can't stand listening to live performances on low quality, so I can't tell you what it's like. Oh well.
