So I was over at 5 Star Hip Hop and I saw this track. It said [Super Mario Brothers Sample] next to it, and being the nerd that I am, I have to listen to every track that samples a classic game. It turns out that the beat is pretty sick, and the rappers on it, though I haven't heard of any of them before (save for Chingy of course), aren't bad at all. If you're a fan of video game sampled songs, you should definitely check it out. There's really nothing spectacular about it, but it is absolutely worth a listen or two.

MC Mega- "Purple Zebras"

This cat's from Ontario, California. I stumbled upon his tracks the other day, and I'm not even going to lie, when I first heard him I though that he was straight up whack, but then I heard his song "Purple Zebras" and I was pretty impressed. The real only way to describe his style is, well, wierd. His voice is high, his rhymes are deep at times, yet at other times, they're unignorably simple; his flow can be super melodic, yet not at all flow with the beat. Despite all these contradictions, there seems to be something about him that caugh my ear. Check this track out and tell me what you think.
